Welcome to our knock-out game, the road to BUMSBowl XIV starts this weekend. There are no changes to the rules so to refresh your memory and for Rookie Craig’s benefit here’s how this knock-out tournament works. It’s a head-to-head contest with the highest scorer in each game going through. You must select 1 QB, 1 kicker and any 4 outfield players to play within a budget of $7.5 million using the same player prices as the regular season. (See attached spreadsheet). You can change all players between each round and in each game no more than 2 players can appear in both teams. Get your teams back to me by 10am on Saturday so we can sort out any swaps needed. Whoever gets their team to me first, if necessary, gets first pick of players to swap, so a speedy reply is of the essence. If the scores are tied at the end of the games the tie-breaker is the Momentum Rule where the player that scored latest in any game wins. As always top scoring owner plays lowest and so on, so here are the Wildcard match ups:- Johnnie will play John, Chief v David S, Andy H v Mark, Cheryl v Dave G, Marcus v Aaron, Craig v Wayne, Daz v Ron and George v AP. NFL Play-offs In the AFC the champs are the Colts (South 14-2) and the Chargers (West 13-3) with bye weeks & New England (East 10-6) and Cincinnati (North 10-6) playing in the wildcard games at home to Baltimore (9-7) and New York Jets (9-7) respectively. In the NFC the champs are New Orleans (South 13-3) and Minnesota (North 12-4) with bye weeks & Dallas (East 11-5) and Arizona (West 10-6) playing in the wildcard games at home to Philadelphia (11-5) and Green Bay (11-5) respectively. BUMS on Seats. We will meet at Johnnie’s from 9:30pm on Saturday night for The Jets visit to Cincinnati. The second game (Philadelphia @ San Dallas) kick’s off at 1am Sunday morning & we will watch this on Sunday from 5pm at BUMS HQ followed at 7pm by Baltimore @ New England and finally Green Bay travel to Arizona for a 9:40pm kick-off. The viewing plan for the Divisional games on Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th January should be the same featuring one live game at 9:30pm on Saturday, then we will be getting together at 5pm Sunday afternoon at BUMS HQ, starting with the recorded 1am second Saturday game followed by the two live games on Sunday evening.
